Humboldt County is located on California ’s northern coast, about 200 miles north of San Francisco and 100 miles south of the Oregon border. Most of our visitors choose to travel to the Redwood Coast by car to enjoy the spectacular scenery all around us.
- Driving time from the San Francisco Bay Area is four hours through the wine country and mountains of Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Current California Road Conditions
- Drive time from Portland is seven hours.
- The Eureka/Arcata Airport (ACV) is served by United Express with daily flights from San Francisco and Sacramento. The airport is located in McKinleyville, 15 miles north of Eureka.
