Berry Glen Trail

This new trail will bring you through old-growth forests. 

The three-mile Berry Glen footpath connects the Lady Bird Johnson Grove with an Elk Meadow viewing area on Hwy 101 and offers some exceptional viewing of old growth giants. It's the first new Redwood National Park trail in a decade!

It is now possible to hike from Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park all the way to Lady Bird Johnson Grove on well-maintained trails. If you start at Elk Meadow, the trail is uphill all the way, from where it crosses the highway and includes some steep switch-backs until it ends in the Lady Bird Johnson Grove.
